Condolence: Happy, sorry about you losing Janice, she was always such a nice person to me when she was teaching at Falmouth and both of you were my neighbors on Monument street way back in the late 50's and early 60's. I've heard of Happy Osborne coaching at Georgetown College but never knew if it was you or your son. Anyway it's been a long time and a lot of water has passed under the bridge since I've seen you or your family but I've always thought about you and Janice and the the good times we had when I was in grade school. I was so sorry to read about Janice's death. Please count me among the countless young lives she influenced so positively. What she taught was not nearly as important as WHAT she taught: integrity, honesty, laughter, and a joy for learning and teaching.
Your family has been important to every "tier" of ours. I wish I had known she was ill; I would have contacted her personally. But please know how much I and my family are thinking of all of you right now! Hers is certainly a life worth celebrating.
