Obituary for Edna Mae Nichols

Edna (Crittenden) Nichols, 76, of Georgetown, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011. She was born February 28, 1934 in Scott County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Bradford and Sarah Catherine (Black) Crittenden. Edna was a Nurse's Aide at Dover Manor Nursing Home and a member of Wayman Chapel AME Church. She is survived by four daughters, Margaret Chenault, Joyce Nichols, Gwendolyn Nichols and Pamela Landrum; two sons, Carl Lewis and William Nichols, Jr.; fourteen grandchildren, Michelle Chenault, Markisha Chenault, Mitchell Chenault, Jr., Shannon Nichols, Darris Nichols, Shane Nichols, Damien Nichols, Harry Nichols, Kiona McIntyre, Marcus McIntyre, Lashantia Nichols, Thomas Nichols, Matrista Allen and Corneil Allen; several great-grandchildren; one niece, Carolyn Spears; a special friend, Corey Holland. In addition to her husband and parents, Edna was preceded in death by one son, Corneil Frazier and her sister, Susan Henderson. Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Wayman Chapel AME Church with Pastor James Howard Stowe officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Dover Manor for their loving and gracious care of Edna. Johnson's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
