Obituary for Evelyn Mae Ackerman

Evelyn Mae (Collins) Ackerman, 87, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014. She was born May 7, 1927 in Harrison County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert M. and Shirley Mae (Dotson) Collins. Evelyn retired from General Electric where she had been an assembly line supervisor. She enjoyed boating any chance she could and was a member of the CB Club and her handle was "Sunshine". Evelyn is survived by one sister, Opal (Cecil) Hill and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Bryce and Lucille Hughes; one brother, James Collins. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Dover Manor Nursing Home for their devoted and loving care for Evelyn. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, July 10th at Victory Life Church at 6:00pm with Larry Jones officiating.
