Obituary for Charles W. Young

Charles W. Young, 77, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014. He was born July 9, 1936 in Stamping Ground, Kentucky, son of the late Lawrence and Mattie (Brooks) Young, Sr. Charles served in the United States Army and was a member of Stamping Ground Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Charisse Young and Marlene (Charlie) Jones; one sister, Sallie Henderson; one brother, Lawrence Young, Jr.; a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Florence Price and two brothers, Harold Young and James R. Young. Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:30am until time of service at 12:30 pm at Johnson's Funeral Home. Pastor Emmanuel Young will be officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 pm at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
