Obituary for Richard Ray "Rick" Downs

Richard “Rick” Ray Downs, 65, passed away Wednesday, December 2nd 2015. He was born November 6th, 1950, son of the late E.J. “Muck” and Ann (Pursifull) Downs. Rick had been the quality control manager at EnovaPremier in Paris, Kentucky. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Rick is survived by his wife, Sheila Ann (French) Downs whom he married on June 22nd, 2002 in Maysville, Kentucky; one son, Eric Carrington (Brandi Honan) Downs of Maysville, Kentucky; two step-daughters, Angela (Dan) Hodges and Heather (Dustin) Hauke; three grandchildren, Paula, Hannah and Wyatt Hauke; one sister, Nira Downs (Jesse) Willoughby of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; one brother, Erin “Sandy” (Deborah) Downs of Mount Sterling, Kentucky. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bethel Neal. Visitation will be Friday at Johnson’s Funeral Home from 4pm until time of service at 7pm with Chaplain Esther Sapp officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
