Lorraine Brandenburg Williams, 91, widow of Robert Daniel Taylor and John W. Williams, went home to heaven Friday, May 20, 2016. Born in Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Colonel Taylor and Nancy Anna Gray Brandenburg.

A former store manager with Dollar General Store, she was an accomplished seamstress, gardener and enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church, where she played the organ and taught Sunday School.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue Williamson, Anna Fay Asher, Regina (P.J.) Seagriff, Robyn Blair Taylor and April Carol Taylor, all of Georgetown; step son, Johnny (Elaine) Williams, Nicholasville; brothers, J.M. (Betty) Brandenburg, Donnie Brandenburg and Herman Brandenburg; sisters, Anna Wilson, Gloria (Floyd) Mudd and Judy (Ken) Johnson; as well as eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Allen Keith Bruin.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, KY. Casket bearers will be Daniel Shane Asher, Todd Williamson, Mark Allen Bruin, Jimmy Bruin, Kent Campbell and John Williams. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday.
