Obituary for Trudy Ann Case (Vitatoe)

Trudy Ann Vitatoe Case, 67, wife of Terry William Case, passed way Monday, June 13, 2016. Born in Price, KY, she was the daughter of Evalee Gayheart Vitatoe, Somerset, KY and the late Glyndon Owen Vitatoe.

A graduate of Xavier University, she was a retired teacher with Grant County Public Schools. She also volunteered her time with St. John Catholic School where she was also a member. She was a teacher to hundreds, friend to everyone and an inspiration to all.

In addition to her husband of 44 years and mother, she is survived by her children, Beth (Jimmy) Blankenship and Dr. Justin William (Lisa) Case, both of Georgetown; sister, Linda (Fred) Partin, Nancy, KY; brothers, Randy (Pat) Vitatoe, Somerset, KY and Gary (Doris) Vitatoe, Decater, IN. She was Grammy to Hunter, Cade and Jack Blankenship, Mazie, Liam and Caroline Case. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Lucas Owen Blankenship.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday at St. John Catholic Church, conducted by Rev. Linh Nguyen. Entombment will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. John Catholic School, 106 Military St, Georgetown, KY 40324.
