Goldie Louise Holland, 95, passed away Friday, August 5th, 2016. She was born October 30th, 1920 in Georgetown, Kentucky, daughter of the late Stonewall Jackson and Oma (Duncan) Holland. Goldie retired from Good Samaritan Hospital, where she has been a Nurse’s Aide for many years. She was a member of Turkeyfoot Christian Church and had attended Northside Christian Church. Goldie is survived by one sister, Thelma Reed; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Morris, Elsie Corbin, and Gloria Best; four brothers, Bobby Holland, Bradford Holland, Woodrow Wilson Holland and Harper J. Holland. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9th from Noon until time of service at 1p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Goldie’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.
