Obituary for James William Hamilton Jr.

James William Hamilton, Jr., passed away Saturday, October 15th, 2016. He was born August 27th, 1950 in Georgetown, Kentucky, son of the late James “Bill” and Louise (Donovan) Hamilton, Sr. James served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a retired tool and die maker, retired from the State Road Department and was a farmer and cattleman. James was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, the Scott County Cattleman’s Club, Great Meadows Angus Association and the American International Charolais Association. He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” (Evans) Hamilton; his son, Jamie Hamilton; his aunt, Ann Southworth; his cousin; Bruce Southworth. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Wednesday at 1pm with Rev. Darrell Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Val Collins, Phillip Howard, Josh Baugh, Stacy Skinner, Bill Smiley and Bobby Rose. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Charles Junior Collins, Frankie Cohorn, Jimmy Banks, Arnett Howard, J.C. Woolums.
