Obituary for Shaun Jason Mosley

Shaun Jason Mosley, 37, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 26, 2017. He was born on November 19, 1979 in Lexington, KY to Christopher Mosley and Patricia Mosley-Cureton.
Shaun spent his early years in Lexington but moved to Georgetown, KY in 1990 at the age of 11. An articulate, gifted young man and standout in all he endeavored; he performed in school programs, excelled in both academics and athletics playing basketball, football, soccer, and tennis. After graduation from high school, he attended CCBC Essex-A.A. International Business, Foreign Languages, G.P.A. 3.86-2003 Magna Cum Laude, indeed an asset when afforded a rare opportunity to travel to Viet Nam.
A curious mind that sought to know more, he began a journey toward discovery that led him to be an entrepreneur/franchise owner and recipient of numerous honors and awards including:
• 2005 National Leadership Award NRCC
• 2005 Business Man of the Year, PDCA
• President International Student Association CCBC
• Elected First School Senator to represent student body at school faculty meetings
• College Honors Member
• Presidential Fitness Award High School
Shaun’s loves: his son, Aidan, soulmate[‘Ames’], family, being “the world’s okayest brother”, soccer, UK Basketball, Baltimore Ravens, dogs, writing, sketching, science, debating, watches, high-end fashion, dark-chocolate, gourmet foods, and accomplishing his endeavors “like a boss”!
Survived by his son, Aidan Christopher Mosley [son’s mother, Chrystal Cammarata] of Baltimore, MD; his sister, Alisha Smith, of Dover, DE; sister, Jennifer [Alex] Stroup of Seaford, DE; sister, Ashley [Nick] Beasley of Versailles, KY; Girlfriend, Amy Stadnyk [sons Landin & Ethan]; ‘adopted brother’ Scott Tolmach of Lafayette, LA; nieces and nephews: Ariel Peters, Sera Smith, Thomas Smith of Dover, DE; James, Avery, & Cadie Stroup of Seaford, DE; Kendra, Triston, Baily, Jacob, Halie, & Nicky Beasley, Danielle Jump, Mason Morris, and arriving soon: Addie Wilcox, all of Versailles, KY.; And a host of extended family members and life-long friends that he totally adored.
Shaun was preceded in death by his father, Christopher, and younger brother, Wessy Cureton.
Today, Shaun is and will continue to be remembered for his intellect, charisma, and love for ALL people. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, 11:00 A.M., at the REGENERATION CHURCH, 101 Fordland Drive, Georgetown, KY.
We ask that all friends/family please sign Shaun’s guest book; balloons will be released following the service in his honor.
