Obituary for John "Jack" N Fryman

John “Jack” N. Fryman, 72, husband of Nora Dunbar Fryman, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017. Born in Versailles, KY, he was the son of the late John R. and Dorothy H. Fryman.

Raised in Nicholas County, KY, he was an excellent High School ball player and went on to play for Berea College. After receiving his degree from Berea College, he spent 30 years with Kentucky Utilities, retiring as Human Resource Manager. He served in the Army National Guard, was a member of the 101 Club and was an avid golfer and loved fishing. He was a member of the Man-O-War Church of God and served as head of the Ushers and Greeters. He was a former member of the Bethesda community Fellowship Church in Russell Springs, KY, where he served as clerk.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David (Sheila) Fryman and Kym (Gene) Bellau; step son, James V. (Jerri) Hillock; brother, Byron (Ann) Fryman; grandchildren, Christine Godfrey, Kelsey Fryman, Miranda Gregory, Eli and Sarah Hillock; great grandchild, Caleb Godfrey.

Funeral services will be 2 PM CST Monday at Bethesda Community Fellowship Church in Russell Springs, KY. Burial will follow at the Russell County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3-6 PM EST Saturday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, Georgetown, KY and 11 AM CST till service time Monday at the church. Memorial may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
