Obituary for Frances Lorene Plymale (Pennington)

Frances Lorene (Pennington) Plymale, 91, passed away Friday, March 31st, 2017. She was born December 18th, 1925 in McComas, West Virginia, daughter of the late Russell T. and Lola (Perkins) Pennington. Frances was a registered nurse and trained for three years in the Army Nursing Corp during World War II. She was a member of Georgetown First United Methodist Church and enjoyed Bible study groups at church. She also enjoyed reading, sewing and being with her family as often as possible. Frances was an avid golfer and won the Stoner Creek Club Championship twice. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Paul Wade; her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Michelle Plymale; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Betty (Howard) Candler, Shirley Sarver, Janie Havens and Vicky French; two brothers, Harold (Alice) Pennington and Richard (Carolyn) Pennington. In addition to her parents and husband of forty nine years, Clifford S. Plymale, Frances was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Lucado and two brothers, Bobby Joe Pennington and William Pennington. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5th, at Georgetown First United Methodist Church from 12pm until time of service at 2pm with Rev. Greg Gallaher officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Wade, James Wade, Robert Wade, Andrew Gambrel, Brian Stritz and Parker Wornall. Memorial contributions may be directed to Georgetown First United Methodist Church or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
