Obituary for Douglas Sutton

Douglas Preston Sutton, 55, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Born in Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Constance “Connie” Burlew Sutton and Charles “Charlie” William Sutton.

An avid UK football fan and member of Georgetown Baptist Church, Doug had retired from the Department of Transportation as an Assistant Director.

He is survived by his son, James Scott Sutton; sister, Terri Sutton; brother, Scotty (Jennifer) Sutton; grandchildren, Avery and Camdyn Sutton; nieces, Sarah and Delaney Sutton; and nephew, Sam Sutton, all of Georgetown.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Alan Redditt. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers will be Richie Hempel, Jeff Griffith, Gary Luttrell, Mick Pitts, Jeff Tipton, Rob Daley and Greg Riddell. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday.
