James Edward West, 76, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017. Born in Scott County, KY, he was the son of the late James B. and Irene Johnson West.

A US Navy veteran, was a former manager and restaurant operator with his brother before retiring. He loved to bowl and was an accomplished gardener.

He is survived by his children, Jason West and Jennifer West; siblings, Doug (Betty) West, Owenton, Danny West, TN, Betty (Billy) Hayes, Midway, Anna Fay Arthur and Nancy (Marion) Potter, both of Richmond, VA; as well as four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY. Visitation will be 10:30 AM -12:30 PM Tuesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home.
