Obituary for Edwin "Ed" Louis Skees

Edwin “Ed” Louis Skees passed away at the age of 76 after a long struggle in the hospital. He is survived by his wife, Dolores, who was at his side, as well as five children, one step daughter, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother and sister.

Ed loved fishing, hunting, gardening, wood-working, carpentry and landscaping. He retired from Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Division of Toll Facilities after 30 years of service.

Visitation is Friday, April 21 at Johnson’s Funeral Home in Georgetown from 5-8 PM. Visitation will also be Saturday, April 22 at St. Francis Catholic Church, US 460, Georgetown, beginning at 10:30 AM with a funeral mass following at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lexington. Honorary pallbearers will be James Kessler, Clarence Kessler, Randall McDowell, Paul Utter, Ray Smith, Shorty Armstrong, David Rhodes, Dave Price and Ike Isenhoff. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Social Club of Inverrary, 3900 Inverrary Blvd, Lauderhill, FL 33319.
