Gerald “Jerry” L. Underwood, 70, husband of Donna Webb Underwood, passed away Thursday, April 20th, 2017. He was born November 21st, 1946 in Lexington, Kentucky, son of the late Hardin and Elizabeth (Searcy) Underwood. Jerry received his Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky and was a retired Pharmacist. Jerry was an avid UK fan and enjoyed golfing. In addition to his wife of forty-seven years, Jerry is survived by his daughter, Meredyth (Bryce) Peterson; his son, Jerry (Gretchen) Underwood; seven grandchildren, Matthew Peterson, Adam Peterson, Jake Underwood, Kaely Peterson, Brady Underwood, Claire Underwood and Colin Underwood. Visitation will be Sunday, April 23rd, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m.with Rev. Don Reed officiating. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Peterson, Jake Underwood, Bryce Peterson, Mike Webb, Bill Webb and Chad Franklin.
