Joanne Kennedy Lusby, 83, widow of Joseph Smith Lusby, passed away Saturday, April 22nd, 2017. She was born November 23rd, 1933 in Piqua, Ohio, daughter of the late John L. and Dorothy (Lyman) Kennedy. Joanne received her Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown College and had been a substitute teacher for Scott County Board of Education. Joanne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David Joseph and Joy Lusby; three granddaughters, Morgan Lusby, Emily Lusby and Lauren Lusby; her brother, Jack C. Kennedy. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26th at First Christian Church from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m. with Dr. Molly Smothers officiating. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Kennedy, Monty Hinton, Kevin Kennedy, Chad Kennedy, Greg McLoney, Ed Alyea, Bill Wilson, George Lusby and Jim Smith.
