Christine Phelps Sharp, 75, widow of William Albert Sharp, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Born in Casey County, KY she was the daughter of the late Arvil and Sarah Margaret Cotton Phelps.

A cook, she was a member of Grace Christian Church and was active with the Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina Romans, Georgetown, Janet Egner, Danville and Janie Mays, Casey County; sisters, Julie Ann Phelps Ballard, IN, Mary Elizabeth Phelps Robinson, Lexington and Geraldine Phelps White, Georgetown; brothers, Arvil Orvil Phelps, jr, John Robert Phelps, both of Versailles, Ray Phelps, OK and James Howard Phelps, Lexington; 25 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son and daughter, Billy Ray Romans and Patricia Phelps; brother, Phillip Owen Phelps; and sisters, Maxine Phelps, Evelyn Phelps Taylor and Anna Rose Phelps Walton.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Marty Mays, Jr, Christopher Thomas, James Thomas, Thomas Romans, Timothy Romans, Corey Romans and Johnny Burton. Visitation will be 11AM till service time on Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christine Sharp Memorial Fund, c/o Whitaker Bank.
