Lewis Clyde Hurst, 88, widower of Betty G. Hurst, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017. Born in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Nancy Viola Stanly Baston and Clyde Miller Hurst.

A former farm manager with Castleton Farm, he was also a farrier and truck driver. He also was an Army veteran and had served in the Naval Reserves.

He is survived by his son, Randall Hurst, Georgetown; brother, Andy (Mary) Baston, Lexington; sister-in-law, Peggy (Connie) Ellis; nephew, John (Aimee) Baston; nieces, Dayna Baston and Amy (Jon) Clark. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Frances Coffey.

Funeral service will be 1 PM Wednesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kentucky United Methodist Homes for Children & Youth, 2050 Lexington Rd, Versailles, KY 40383.
