Obituary for Gene Hawkins

Hawkins, Gene beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 91. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1925 and last resided in Grove City, Ohio. He married Ruth Bruder and were together until her passing. Later in life, he married Bonnie Arnold and were loving companions until her passing in April 2017. He is survived by two children; Susan (Tim) Springer and Scott (Jennie) Hawkins. He also had six step children, Cathy (R. Kelly) Watts, David (Karen) Arnold, Terri (Keith) Ehmann, Sue (Jeff) Readout, Barb Henry, Donna (Mike) Shirey; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother Myron Hawkins and sister-in-law Mary Margaret (Bill) Poole; and numerous extended family and friends. According to his wishes, there will be no formal service planned. Memorial donations can be made in Gene’s name to the “Resident Christmas Fund” at Grand Haven Nursing Home, c/o Ashlee Gaunce, 105 Rodgers Park Rd., Cynthiana, KY. 41031
