Joanne Byler Shupp, 73, passed away Tuesday, October 10th, 2017. She was born August 8th, 1944 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John and Lois (Brewer) Byler. Joanne was a member of Safe Harbor Baptist Fellowship, where she had served as the church pianist. She came from a musical family, which developed her love of playing the piano. Joanne is survived by her husband of fifty one years, John Shupp; her daughter, Lori (Joel) Braswell; her son, David Shupp; two grandchildren, Rachel Braswell and Benjamin Braswell; three sisters, Joyce (John) Brownsberger, Judith “Judy” Haenes and Jeanette “Jeannie” (Bruce) Judisch. In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, John Haenes. Visitation will be Sunday, October 15th from 2 to 5pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Monday with Pastor Andy Waldroup officiating. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Joanne adored her family and was truly a woman of faith.
