Dewey Wayne Ishmael, 70, husband of Diana Franklin Ishmael, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017. Born in Harrison County, KY, he was the son of the late Harry V. and Marguerite Ishmael.

A member of Northside Christian Church, he was retired as Quality Control Manager with Ladish Company. He was a member of Elks Lodge #438 in Cynthiana, KY, the Central Kentucky Senior Men’s Golf Association and enjoyed traveling.

In addition to his wife of 36 years, he is survived by his sons, Marty Ishmael and Thomas Ishmael; sister, Nancy (William) Gaunce; brother, Tommy Ishmael; five grandchildren, once great grandchild and his special friend and cat, Mickey J. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Donald Swinford Ishmael and Martin Ishmael.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Tommy Simpson and Nic Skinner. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Sunday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society or Bluegrass Care Navigators (formerly Hospice of the Bluegrass).
