John Bruce Gaither, 70, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018. Born in Georgetown, he was the son of the late Jim and Beryl Hoskins Gaither.

A former tool and dye maker, he later served as a counselor with the local AA chapter.

He is survived by children, Denise (Dino) Caywood, Sadieville, John Gaither and Jason Gaither, both of Georgetown; and sister, Susie Anderson. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother, Alberta Shepard and Jimmy Gaither.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Scott Meadows. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time.
