Alice Elizabeth Parrish, 79, widow of Herbert Russell Parrish, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018. Born in Nutley, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William George and Elizabeth Gillow Van Orden.

Alice was a long-time employee of Wal-Mart in Georgetown. She enjoyed collecting Precious Moments figurines, travelling with her “Wal-Mart gang” and spoiling her cat Princess.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Parrish and Russell Parrish; brothers, Bill (Patti) Van Orden, John (Janice) Van Orden and Danny Van Orden; grandchildren, William Jernee, Madison Parrish and Christian Parrish. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Edith Van Orden Brandenburg.

Visitation will be 3-6 PM Saturday at Johnson’s Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 100 Hillside Dr, Georgetown, KY 40324.
