Obituary for Ethel Vickrey Denniston

Ethel Vickrey Denniston, 70, widow of Charles Ray Denniston, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018. Born in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Gertrude Mefford Vickrey.

A former customer service representative with Time Warner/Spectrum, she was a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Lexington, enjoyed reading and studying the Bible.

She is survived by her daughters, Lesa Denniston and Stephanie Denniston, both of Lexington; special son, Everett Lee (Beth) Denniston and their children, Kelton and Kanaan, all of Georgetown; brother, Raymond Vickrey, Clermont, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews including Raymond (Keiko) Vickrey and Sean Vickrey. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Stewart Ervin Vickrey.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Dr. Carl Peters, Pastor Paul Jorgensen and Pastor Phil Jackson. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anchor Baptist Church Capital Stewardship Campaign, 3601 Winthrop Drive, Lexington, KY 40514.
