Joan I. (McManus) Resemius, 89, widow of William Kennith Resemius, passed away Monday, July 9th, 2018 in Georgetown, surrounded by her loving family. Joan was born May 23rd, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Clarence J. and Lorraine Irma (Haviland) McManus. Joan was a member of St. John Catholic Church and she enjoyed needle pointing, crochet and gardening. She is survived by her two daughters, Dana (Richard) Garcia and Darcy (Michael) Calleja; five grandchildren, Cory (Mark) Calleja Henderson, Hailey Calleja, Brandon Calleja, Cody Garcia and Jesse Garcia; one great-granddaughter, Aria Henderson; one sister, Sharon Higgins; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, July 13th, from 5 to 7pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday at St. John Catholic Church with Father Linh Nguyen officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Garcia, Michael Calleja, Brandon Calleja, Jesse Garcia and Mark Henderson.
