Obituary for Davine Young

Davine Young, 78, husband of Carrie (James) Young, passed away Sunday, July 22nd, 2018. Davine was born February 22nd, 1940 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, son of the late Willie and Mattie (McKay) Young. Davine enjoyed fishing and he loved to cook and had been a chef at Central Baptist Hospital for twenty-seven years. In addition to his wife, Davine is survived by his two daughters, Shelly Young and Tamara young; his son, Debraile Young; one sister, Verisa Lee McLemore; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by nine sisters and brothers. Visitation will be Monday, July30th, 2018 at Johnson’s Funeral Home from Noon until time of the service at 1pm with Bishop Gary Lamb officiating. Burial will be in First Baptist Church Cemetery in Stamping Ground.
