Obituary for Roscoe "Rocky" Bailey

Roscoe J. “Rocky” Bailey, 88, widower of Thelma Louise Bailey, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018. Born in Scott County, he was the son of the late Lee Hampton and Delilah Gardner Bailey.

A forty-year employee of Jim Beam Distilleries, he enjoyed bowling, shooting pool and collecting old country records. He was an avid Kentucky fan and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his children, Pamela Ann (Ray) Strickler, Carol Jean Hall and Don Michael Bailey; brother, Buford (Brenda) Bailey; sisters, Ethel Henderson, Bonnie Morrison, Margie Bratton and Nancy King; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Craig Bailey; sister, Nora Lee Rodgers; and brothers, Tom, John, Carrick and Roland Bailey.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time.
