Donald “Don” Ray Fields, 86, passed away Tuesday, September 25th, 2018. He was born April 25th, 1932 in Harrison County, Kentucky, son of the late Durward and Leona (Adams) Fields. Don served in the United States Navy and was a Kentucky Colonel. Don was Agency Manager for twenty-five years with Kentucky Farm Bureau. He was a devoted member of Connersville Christian Church. Don is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-four years, Evelyn Louise (Hausberger) Fields; two daughters, Deborah (David) Jones and Susan B. (Steve) Phillips-Reaves; two grandchildren, Christopher (Brittany) Jones and Leslie (Paul) Waddelow; five great-grandchildren, Amelia Waddelow, Emma Waddelow, Kade Jones, Creighton Jones and Anneliese Jones. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Ralph Phillips. Visitation will be Friday, September 28th, from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Saturday at 11am with Brother Paul Waddelow and Brother Warren French officiating. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 24 of Georgetown. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Jones, Kade Jones, Brad Marshall, Mark Carroll, John Smoot and Gene Richie. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Adams, Billy Adams, Charles Lee Carroll and Howard Fryman.
