Ruth Marie Reed Wise, 74, passed away Wednesday, October 10th, 2018. She was born on May 24th, 1944 in Lexington, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ezekiel Thomas and Margaret (Wilson) Reed. Ruth was a 1966 graduate of Georgetown College, where she received her Bachelor Degree in Biology. Ruth loved caring for others her entire life and had been involved with Senior Care Givers. She is survived by two daughters, Laura Margaret (Joseph Pat Jr.) Moore and Molly Wise; her son, James Thomas (Jamie Renee Gray) Wise; her sister, Reba Reed Woodall; six grandchildren, Alyson Turner, Naomi Johnson, Sophia Marie Moore, Lily Irene Moore, Joey Scarbrough and Ryland Fugate; one great-grandson, Atlas Scarbrough; James Ray Wise, her ex-husband, friend and the father of her children; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Saturday, October 13th from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2pm at New Columbus Fairview Cemetery in New Columbus, Kentucky. Serving as pallbearers will be James Thomas Wise, Ryland Scott Fugate, Joseph Reed Scarbrough, Joseph Pat Moore Jr., Mark Davis True and Paul Douglas Woodall. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Davis Wilson Jones, Dallin Dwight Gibson, James Scarbrough and Bryan Scott Fugate.
