Obituary for Louie Williams Hambrick

Louie Williams Hambrick, 87, widow of Delbert Eugene “Gene” Hambrick, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Born in Georgetown, KY, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Della Hall Williams.

A former switchboard operator with Hoover/Bell South, she was a member of Northside Christian Church. She was active with her late husband Gene with fishing and bowling, but her true passions were music, dancing and clogging with the McClain Clogging Team.

She is survived by her brother, Leslie Williams, Louisville; nieces and nephews, Kathy Ray, Leslye (Michael) Schrank, Michael (Judy) Williams, Ronnie (Crystal) Williams and Ricky Williams; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Luther Williams Jr; sisters, Catherine W. Whitlock and Mildred McIntosh Lawrence; and niece Maxine Riley.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday at Newtown Christian Church, conducted by Scott Coburn. Burial will follow in the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Michael S. Fulton, James Nutter, Ricky Williams, Michael Williams, Matt Hughes and Bobby Joe Young. Visitation will be 12 PM till service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
