Mary Elizabeth (Hammonds) Silvey, 81, wife of Harlan Dean Silvey, passed away Sunday, October 21st, 2018. She was born January 4th, 1937, in Beachwood, Kentucky, daughter of the late Chester G. and Louedna (Wainscott) Hammonds. Mary was a member of trinity Assembly of God. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her daughter, Reba (Keith Horne) Hall; three grandchildren, Devin (Autumn) Gillespie, Bryan Adams and Donald “Clark” Bullock; three great-grandchildren, Serenity Adams, Hope Adams and Gaige Chamness; two sisters, Sylvia (E.W.) Switzer and Ruth (Dale) Epperson; one brother, Larry (Norma) Hammonds. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by five sisters, Francis Smithers, Louise Wilhoite, Ann Jones, Wavie Renfro and Betty Turton; two brothers, Jake Hammonds and Stanley Hammonds. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 24th, from 5 to 8pm at Trinity Assembly of God, 1220 Cincinnati Road, where services will be held on Thursday at 10:30AM with Brother Ben Dock, Pastor Carl Kelleher, Reverend Larry Hammonds and Reverend Mark Wilhoite officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Devin Gillespie, Bryan Adams, Donald “Clark” Bullock, Ralph Turton, Jayce Everling and Joe Thurmond. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Wilhoite, David Hammonds, Johnny Hammonds, Keith Horne, Wayne Switzer and Dale Epperson. Johnson’s Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
