Obituary for Bonnie F Moore

Bonnie Florence Moore, 77, widow of Porter Allen Moore, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018. Born in Paris, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Florence and Pauline Pilkenton Thornberry.

A former sales clerk with McAlpins and licensed beautician, she was a long-time member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church as well as the New Life UMW Circle at the church. She enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening, was an active member of the local P.E.O. Chapter J and an avid UK fan.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Compton Moore (Wade) Smith, Columbus, GA and Tyler Porter (Crystal Shearer) Moore, Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth Smith, Clayton Tyler Moore, Megan Sarah Moore, Lincoln Alexander Shearer and Amelia Cassidy Moore. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James A. Florence.

A memorial service will be 1 PM Wednesday at Southern Hill United Methodist Church, conducted by Dr. Bill Moore. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 11AM to 1 PM Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Hills United Methodist Church.
