Lawrence Calvin Chaffee, 82, husband of Barbara Smith Chaffee, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018. Born in Boliver, NY, he was the son of the late Richard William and Genevieve Watson Chaffee.

A master carpenter by trade, he also served as the head of maintenance with Tennco Oil. He was a long-time member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church, an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and was a proud Marine veteran.

In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by his children, Ric (Sharon) Chaffee, Sandra Alcorn, James (Shirley) Chaffee, Laurie Chaffee, Robert Smith, Cristal (Robert) Rogers, Lawrence (Angie) Chaffee, Jr and Earlene White; brother, Robert (Linda) Chaffee; sister, Phyllis (Walter) Mau; as well as 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday at Poplar Grove Baptist Church, Hustonville, KY, conducted by Bro. Brent Huggins. Burial will follow at the Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poplar Grove Baptist Church, 428 Chelf Ridge Rd, Hustonville, KY 40437.
