Obituary for Helen Louise Hinton

Helen Louise Hinton, 89, passed away on Sunday, June 23rd, 2019. She was born on August 19th, 1929 in Scott County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Richard M. and Georgia (Wallace) Hinton. Helen was a member Newtown Christian Church and had been a member of the Ladies Aid Society. She enjoyed playing cards, board games and games on her IPad. Helen is survived by her sisters, Mildred Cook and Jane Penn; two nieces, Sondra (Red) Queen and Sherry (Mark) Wanchic; two great nieces, Brooke (Steve) Scroggins and Christa (Jason) Dees; one great-nephew, Brett (Andrea) Queen; several great-great-nieces and nephews, Leighton Scroggins, Landry Scroggins, Evan Queen, Dakota Shivley, Madison Shivley and Cabel Shivley; extended family members, Cecila Jackson, Kyle Jackson, Eddie Penn and Kate Grant. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, O.M. Cook Jr. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 25th, from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held on Wednesday at 1pm with Dr. Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Red Queen, Mark Wanchic, Brett Queen, Steve Scroggins, Jason Dees and Evan Queen.
