Obituary for Douglas Wayne Zumwalt

Douglas Wayne Zumwalt, 57 of Aztec Trail, Willhoite Tool & Dye employee and husband of Martha Anne Burton Zumwalt died Friday December 15, 2006 at his home.



A native of Georgetown, he was the son of the late Horace M. & Gladys Reed Zumwalt. He was a member of Northside Christian Church and was a Scott County girl’s softball umpire for over 20 years.



Survivors besides his wife include 2 sons: Chad (Jennifer) Zumwalt, Dayton, OH and Nicholas (Cassie Dirks) Zumwalt, Georgetown; one sister, Geraldine (Jerry) Foley, Lexington; 2 brothers, Dennis L. (Patsy) Zumwalt and Daryl K. (Kim) Zumwalt, both of Georgetown; one aunt, Wanda (Leroy) Jones, Georgetown and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be 11:00AM Monday at Johnson’s Funeral Home by Rev. Scott Colburn. Honorary bearers will be Chad, Nicholas, Dennis, Daryl, Justin, Derrick, and Dustin Zumwalt, Jeff Brown and Jerry and Jeffrey Foley. Visitation will be 5—8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
