Obituary for Bartlett Graves Dickinson

Dr. Bartlett Graves Dickinson, 74, died November 7, 2013. He was born September 28, 1939, to the late William and LaVece Ganter Dickinson in Glasgow, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Suetta Wilson Dickinson; sons Bartlett G. Dickinson IV, Jonathan (Jenna Ross) Dickinson, Wilson (Carly) Dickinson, and daughter Rebecca Dickinson, grandson Logan, all of Georgetown; and sisters Mary Dickinson, Georgia (Butch) Peterson, and Katie (Bobby) Napier, all of Glasgow, KY, and Betsy (Bill Karsner) Dickinson of Hixon, Tenn., and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dr. Dickinson earned his doctorate from the University of Kentucky in theoretical physics, was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and taught physics at Georgetown College for 36 years. He was a sixth generation Disciples of Christ member, an elder, Sunday School teacher, and choir member at First Christian Church Georgetown. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4:30 to 7 pm with the Funeral service at 7:00 pm at First Christian Church Georgetown. Graveside services will be held Monday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery, Glasgow, KY at 2 pm EST (1 pm CST).
