Ronald "Ronnie" Ernest, 60, of Williamstown, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 5, 2013. He was born December 19, 1952 in Scott County, Kentucky, son of the late Elva and Edith (Shinglton) Ernest. Ronnie had been a foreman for Dell Ridge Farm and was a member of Grant County Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Retha (Flannery) Ernest; two step-daughters, Shari Reed and Melanie (Jeff) Alcorn; three brothers, Alan (Shea) Ernest, Donnie Ernest and Buddie Ernest; one sister, Sue Swartz; two granddaughters; five grandsons; ten great-grandchildren; a host of relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by one grandson. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8pm at Johnson's Funeral Home, where services will be held on Thursday at 11am with Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating. Burial will be at Gray Family Cemetery at 3:30pm in Lee County, Kentucky. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Hicks Reed, Matt Hicks, Joey Hicks, Jared Hicks, Joshua Alcorn and Brice Ernest.
