Obituary for Ella "Tootie" Olver

Ella "Tootie" (Dodge) Olver, 85, widow of Donald Eugene Olver, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013. She was born August 18, 1928 in Endicott, New York, daughter of the late Torance and Juanita (Shiner) Dodge. Tootie was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, the Salem Women's Club, Georgetown-Scott County Homemakers Club and had served as a Girl Scout leader for several years. She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Larry) Oser and Debbie (John) Ellis; one son, Charles (Janet) Olver; six grandchildren, Mark (Sherrie) Olver, Tina (Roy) Durham, Todd (Laura) Oser, Jared Ellis, Jason (Sara) Ellis and Lindsay (Laken) Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Covington, Karys Durham, Nash Durham and Jay Ellis; one great-grandson, Preston Eugene Oser on the way. In addition to her parents and husband, Tootie was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Dodge and Bob Dodge. Friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at Johnson's Funeral Home, where services will be held on Monday at 1pm with Rev. Harrison Bell officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Ellis, Jared Ellis, Mark Olver, Todd Oser, Bobby Dodge, Charles Olver, Larry Oser and John Ellis. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Salem United Methodist Church, C/O Charlie Hoffman, Jr., 306 Highland Avenue, Georgetown, Kentucky, 40324 or to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
