Obituary for Donald Richard Vance

Donald Richard Vance, 75, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014. He was born July 23, 1938 in Grant County, Kentucky, son of the late Orlie and Anna Mae (Dixon) Vance. Donald had been a farmer, plumber and builder during his lifetime and he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Donald is survived by two daughters, Deana Lane and Pamela (Mark) Ashcraft; two sons, Douglas Vance and Donald Manley; one sister, Geraline Tingle; four brothers, Joe Vance, James Vance, William "Dan" Vance and Glenn Vance; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; his dear friend, Vondella Hubbard. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one sister, Emma Dowell. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8pm at Johnson's Funeral Home, where services will be held on Friday at 11am with Pastor Connie Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Sadieville Cemetery.
