Ella Mae Riddle True, 94, widow of Henry Riddle and Paschal True, passed away Saturday, September 24th, 2016. She was born April 4th, 1922 in Clark County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Vernon and Mary (Epperson) Gragg. Ella was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for over forty years. She was also a member of the Scott County Art League and had been a foster parent for seven years. Ella loved to paint, play the piano, doing needlework, sewing, gardening and bird watching. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Riddle (William) Leasor and Judy Carolyn Riddle (Virgil) Leasor; three step-daughters, Anna Lois (Wallace) Wilson, Wanda Lee (Kenneth) White and Thelma Pursiful; thirteen grandchildren, Paul (Deborah) Leasor, Jonathan (Amariah) Leasor, Janet (Jason) McDaniel, Stuart Leasor, Mark (Cynthia) Leasor, Michele (Jason) Branham, Susan Rogers, Brenda Duvall, Billy Wilson, Kathy Herald, Larry True, Jimmy True and Sharon Goode; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; thirteen foster children; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by one step-son, Porter True; two brothers, Dewey Gragg and Orban Gragg; three grandchildren, Sarah True Pursiful, Brian Leasor and Danny Wilson; one son-in-law, James Pursiful. Visitation will be Monday, September 26th from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held 11am Tuesday with Pastor Darrell Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Leasor, Paul Leasor, Jonathan Leasor, Stuart Leasor, Jason McDaniel and Matthew Leasor. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jason Branham and Tyler Branham. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
