Catey PhD
Obituary for Nicholas "Nic" David Catey PhD
A graduate of Tippecanoe High School, he received his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Cincinnati. He taught in Ohio, Alaska and Kentucky, retiring last year from Grant County Schools in Kentucky.
He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Becky) Catey, Columbus, OH; sisters, Hope Ann (Dr. David) Reynolds, Wooster, OH and Rebecca Lou Catey, Tipp City, OH; nieces, Emily Catey Weiss and Caitlin Reynolds; nephews, Michael Catey and Lucas (Tiehl) Reynolds; step sons, Andy (Melissa) Gruber and Erik (Lisa) Gruber; as well as many good friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 26 from 2-5 PM at the Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St, Tipp City, OH, 45371. Services will be private.
