To the Sutton Family, While attending High School, we lived close to the Sutton family and I would babysit for them. Their mother always made banana nut bread for me whenever I babysitted. The children were so cute and well behaved. I would always read books to them, and sometimes act out the character. They would laugh at this part. Then it was time to go to bed. We had an old dog that would walk us to the little store across the road. Then one day a young man driving a car hit our dog. Dr. Sutton saw this happen and ran down their driveway, picked up our dog and told us that “Old Lightning” was dead. The Sutton’s were both wonderful people and had wonderful children that will carry on their good will. Alberta Johnson Toomey 12/03/2017 Please forward this letter to the children. I wasn’t able to attend the funeral because of a previous engagement. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your father. May the good Lord be with you during your time of grief and comfort you with the many memories that you have of your father and mother and your lives with them.
