Paul L. Foster, 94, widower of Margie Carson Foster, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Born in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Albert and Grace Overstreet Foster.

A farmer, he served as a Foreman with Tarter Gate Company, worked with local engineers and later retired as a truck driver with Jones Freight Line. He was an Army veteran of WW II and was a long-time member of Gardenside Christian Church. He loved the Lord, his family, playing golf and his horses.

He is survived by his daughter, Paulette Stafford; special son, Jerry B. Williams; granddaughters, Sarah Elaine (Jay) Abbey and Myra Katherine (Steven) Wathen; great grandchildren, Christopher Manning Abbey, Katherine Calloway Wathen and Elizabeth Clough Wathen; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gary Stafford; brothers, John E. Foster, Albert “Nick” Foster, Robert “Bob” Foster and James “Jimmy” Foster.

Funeral services will be 12 PM Monday at Gardenside Christian Church, conducted by Andrew Messinger. Committal services will be 3 PM Monday at the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Liberty, KY. Visitation will be 9:30 AM till service time Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to Thomson Hood Family Council or Bluegrass Care Navigators (formerly Hospice of the Bluegrass).
