Obituary for Annell Hall Purvis

Annell Hall Purvis, 77, of Georgetown, KY passed away at home after a short illness. She was married to her best friend and the love of her life Hebbie Thomas Purvis. Together they have a daughter, Yvonne De Ann Hardin and son-in-law, Kenneth Ott Hardin and a son, Hebbie Thomas Purvis II and daughter-in-law, Cynthia Thomas-Purvis. They also have three dear grandchildren, Everett Merrill Hardin, Emma Anne Purvis, and Meredith Margret Hardin. She leaves behind a brother, Dwight Ted Hall (Johnita Morris Hall) and joins her brother now deceased Everett Thomas Hall (Marilyn Watson Hall) and their children Scott Andrew Hall, Kristin Hall, and Everett Thomas Hall II. She also considered her husband’s family, Neville Purvis (Betty Riddle Purvis), her Purvis, Miles, and Johnson family of Stamping Ground and Frankfort and the Brawner family of Georgetown and their children her own family and loved them all.

She was a graduate of Scott High School and attended the University of Kentucky. She was a long-time member and Sunday School teacher of the Berea Christian Church. During the last few years, she attended the Stamping Ground Christian Church. She was also a member of the Stamping Ground Women’s Club.

Along with being an amazing grandmother, she was also a former member of the Central Kentucky Knife Club, the Scott County FFA Alumni Association, and The Club at Spindletop Hall.

Funeral services will be 12 PM Friday at the Stamping Ground Christian Church, conducted by Rev. Bruce A. Breeding and Bro. Steven B. Smith. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetery, Stamping Ground. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stamping Ground Christian Church.
