Nancy (Allen) Smith, 87, widow of Russell Smith, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018. She was born February 21, 1931 in Nobel, Kentucky, daughter of the late Oscar Allen and Eva (Combs) Allen Hudson. Nancy was saved and baptized at Millstone Missionary Baptist Church and attended there for many years. She most recently was a member of Jenkins United Methodist Church in Jenkins, Kentucky. She loved to crochet, quilt and can foods of all kinds. Nancy is survived by her two sons, George R. Smith and Eddie (Ava) Smith; four grandchildren, Carissa (Bob) Hughes, Jeremy Smith, Kristen (Joe) Roberts and Whitney (Steven) Watson; one great-grandson, William Joseph Roberts; one brother, George Allen; two sisters-in-law, Dora Allen and Doris Allen; one brother-in-law, Edsel Nickell; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Nancy was preceded in death by four sisters, Opal Chaney, Della Nickell, Dulce Caudill and Adna Golbus; four brothers, Bob Allen, Pearl Allen, Hoy Allen and James Allen. Visitation will be Thursday, March 29th from 5 to 8pm at Jenkins United Methodist Church, where services will be held on Friday at 1pm with Pastor Bill Craft officiating. Burial will be at The Haven Of Rest Cemetery in Mayking, Kentucky. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Smith, Bob Hughes, Steven Watson, Chester Chaney, Rick Watson and Steve Collier.
