Obituary for Barbara Riddell Moore

Barbara Riddell Moore, 84, widow of Charles Brown Moore, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018. Born in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Diamond Bentley and Georgia Ellen Carpenter Riddell.

A former manager of Piece Goods, she was a member of the Christian church and enjoyed crafts.
She is survived by her children, Dan (Penny) Moore, Doug (Mary) Moore and David (Tammy) Moore; grandchildren, Margaret, Christian and Ryan Moore.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday at Johnson’s Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Wayne Stevenson. Burial will follow at the Lexington Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ryan Moore, Christian Moore, Margaret Moore, Lucas Brandenburg, Nathan Johnson and Robin Riggs. Honorary casket bearer will be Gene Wiley. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Bluegrass Hospice Care.
