Barbara and Charlie were good neighbors to mom, dad, and myself. Charlie gave my co-worker, Dorothy Hassloch, a ride to work during the snow days, and I used to talk to him while he and their little dog sat in the sun, on their driveway, reading the newspaper. Barbara and I discussed her canasta card games and all the good food the members shared with each other, as compared to my rook games and desserts we all shared. Her grandchildren stories were always full of laughs. When I think of her I smile.
