Obituary for Andrew Francis III

Andrew Francis, III, husband of Julia (Williams) Francis, passed away Monday, May 28th, 2018. Andrew was born January 17th, 1951 in Jennings, Louisiana, son of the late Ida Mae and Andrew Francis Sr. Andrew served in the United States Army. He was a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church in Louisville. He was a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he played football and was Captain of the team. He was honored to be a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Andrew had been a salesman for Sam Swope for several years, he taught classes at AA and played and coached football. In addition to his wife, Andrew is survived by his two daughters, Christina Evans and Shavona Francis; his three sons, Andre (Sandra) Brantley, Enrico (Maleyne) Francis and Ravone Francis; eleven grandchildren, Tyler Christine Francis, Carter Francis, Royce Francis, Lane Francis, Sidney Brantley, Andre Brantley, Sadie Brantley, Shane Evans, Chaz Evans, Raven Evans and LaNiya Francis; two sisters, Shemeka and Angela, both of Houston, Texas; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his brother, Richard James Francis. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 2nd, at G.C. Williams Funeral Home, 1935 West Broadway, Louisville, Kentucky, from Noon until time of Celebration of Life service at 2pm with Pastor Stacey McDonald officiating. Burial will be private at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
