Gary Lee Partin, 70, husband of Audrey Sue (Harney) Partin, passed away Saturday, June 9th, 2018. He was born October 22nd, 1947 in Barbourville, Kentucky, son of the late Zelma Partin. Gary served in the United States Army and was a member of American Legion Post #24 of Georgetown. He retired from the United States postal service where he had been a postal carrier for forty years. Gary enjoyed golfing, fishing and loved playing with his grandchildren. He was a member of Gano Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Gary is survived by his two sons, Timothy (Amanda Lawrence) Partin and Jonathan (Tara) Partin; five grandchildren, Kacy Partin, Kelsey Partin, McKenzie Partin, Jonas Partin and Gavin Partin; four great-granddaughters, Makenna Mack, Kendall Mack, Liliana Palmer and Keirsten Edwards. Besides his mother, Gary was preceded in death by his two sisters, Sue Knuckles and Betty Rogers. Visitation will be Friday, June 15th from 5 to 8pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home, where services will be held at Noon on Saturday with Pastor Harry Hargis officiating. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post #24. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Tackett, David Duncan, Scott Holmes, Jason Moore, Jay Powers and Dustin Smith. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Scott County Sherriff’s Department or to a Veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.
